Aquarius Super Full Moon
This event brings a surge of electric, revolutionary energy thanks to this Full Moon riding the waves of the rational, futuristic air sign of Aquarius.

On Monday the 19th La Luna will shine bright in this month's Aquarius Full Moon also known as a the Sturgeon Full Moon, referred to as such because Indigenous Americans in the Great Lakes area caught an abundant supply of the freshwater fish in late Summer.
A Full Moon happens once a month (sometimes twice) and can be used as a comic gift, a reset, if you will support yourself to check in with yourself. Checking in with any thing you would like to let go of, to support you in any new habits you would like to develop.
With new beginnings the energy of change in the air this is the time to honour these callings as she moves towards her fullness supporting the seeds you wish to grow.
As we are human beings and created with 70% water, it is only normal for us to feel the effects of the Moon closely, just like the tides. We are all so unique and different that a Moon cycle will affect us differently along with our cycles.
In ancient times, the Moon was observed to change over a 29-day period that coincided with a woman's reproductive cycle. The ancients observed how the Moon affected the tides and by tracking it alongside the sun, they developed calendars to predict agricultural rhythms. The Sun was the life-giving force, but the Moon played an important role in predicting rainfall. In this way, the moon inspired culture for the ancients, when hunter and gatherers established civilisations centred on planting and harvesting.
By connecting back to our ancient ways of being and living closer to the rhythms of nature we can connect better to ourselves.
In astrology, the Moon is associated with the subconscious and our instinctive, unconscious behaviour. Its cycles can be used to blend both the tangible and intangible. Working with lunar cycles allows us to intentionally engage our feeling nature, and how it unconsciously helps us with the law of attraction. Just like dreams, what cannot be accomplished during the day can be given over to our larger bodies while we sleep and rest in the evenings.
What does this mean for you?
This event brings a surge of electric, revolutionary energy thanks to this Full Moon riding the waves of the rational, futuristic air sign of Aquarius.
This fixed sign is ruled by eccentric Uranus, the planet of rebellion and revolution, and disciplined Saturn, the planet of boundaries and hard work. While Leo is known for its proud, charismatic, romantic, optimistic and self-focused nature, Aquarius is community-oriented, science-minded, a bit aloof yet invested in nurturing a wide variety of platonic relationships as at the end of the day community is very important to them.
It’s important to note that this is our last Full Moon before Eclipse Season begins, and we may feel the intensity rising. Eclipse Season is always a highly transformative time, and it seems like this Full Moon is planting the seeds of change.
This Leo-Aquarius polarity is in the spotlight, whilst the current Full Moon brings our attention to how we integrate and honour our individuality within our communities, how we fit our creative expression into group settings, and how we can harness our personal interests into serving bigger issues on a collective level.
We see what is happening in the world around us and the call for change may be calling us to be a more active part of the bigger community to help make this madness stop to help create a better place.
We also can’t deny that on September 1st Pluto dances back to Capricorn until November 19th before stationing in Aquarius until 2043…buckle up and hold onto your hats my friends!
This will see the ultimate change in technology and the old paradigms shifting and modernising, as we let go of the old…the more you allow yourself to surrender the easier this transition will be.
It will also be important that you are grounding yourself, protecting your energy as what will be happening globally can be quite a lot to absorb and easily be drawn into sacristy and fear.
Remember there is always dark before the light.
These coming days you will have time and the opportunity to reevaluate your habits on social media and gain awareness of what’s really worth your time and what is wasting your time. What are you pushing down that needs to come out by the mindless scrolling? How can you make these healthy shifts?
Furthermore, this Full Moon highlights the advancement of technology as it is incredible and helpful but at what cost? Are you sacrificing your time for instant gratification rather than forming meaningful connections and bonds? How can you learn to combine both and strike a balance? Or how can you use your platform to help address relevant issues that are important to you and the community?
The energy is turbulent at the moment with the upcoming Full Moon and opposing energies - Uranus active (the “great awakener”), Mercury Retrograde we may find ourselves wanting to move forward but perhaps find ourselves slowed down and not moving forward as fast as we like or the way we want and as I mentioned earlier the Pluto transition back to Capricorn.
Be gentle on yourself, rest if you need to, take notes of what is coming up for you and for a more specific understanding of what is happening for you look into your birth chart to find where these placements are for you.
Some ways to work with this Aquarius Full Moon:
·Ground yourself - a gentle grounding meditation visualising your roots anchoring you in the belly of Mother Earth for support or going to the park/ nature and putting your feet on the ground with the intention to ground, inviting Mother Nature to support and ground you…you can even lay down
·Journaling whatever is coming up for you
·A soothing bath/ shower with your favourite essential oils with the intention of relaxation and soothing your soul
·Meditation to quieten the mind, body, and soul to bring you back to your centre
·Working with fire elements like burning a candle and meditating with the flame
·On scrap pieces of paper, write out three words that represent the behaviour and/or feelings you wish to release and burn into the candle flame or in a bowl of water under the night sky or a quiet place in your home embodying that emotion and calling in your spirit helpers to help you release. At the end using the words “be gone, so mote it be”
·Then in your journal swap the narrative with an affirmation that is positive inversion of what you released (for example: you released “fear of being seen” the affirmation might be “ it’s safe for me to seen and share my wisdom and knowledge to support others”)
· Charging your crystal under the Full Moon sky outside or on the window ledge
· Make Moon water with an intention or affirmation by leaving a covered glass or jar outside or by the window ledge to charge
Sending you many Full Moon blessings!
Much love and gratitude,
Assunta x
