On August 30th, we will experience the second Full Moon of August which is a Super Moon and Blue Moon, a term for the rare event of experiencing two full Moons in one month. Expect this day to be filled with magic, release, and revelations. Blue Moons seldom happen - about once every 2.5 years which is something we want to bring our awareness to.

This is an opportunity to look within

In the light of the full Moon, when she is shining brightly and full, we are gifted this opportunity to look further within allowing us to release what is no longer serving us.

Full Moons occur during an opposition of the Sun and the Moon with the Earth sitting in between these two celestial bodies. This opposition, and polarising energies can intensify our energetic levels but also heighten our intuition which can feel overwhelming.

As we work with the Full Moon, we have added layers that involves tapping into the current zodiac sign that it is embodying and allowing us to work with the archetypes of that zodiac to help us release. We may notice we feel uplifted, empowered, or perhaps overwhelmed with certain aspects and this is because of our birth charts. Where that zodiac sign is placed on our charts, and which house it sits in will be amplified with the Full Moon of that month for example if you are an Aries Sun and the Full Moon is in Libra (remember there it’s an opposing sign and this is in six month periods) you may feel more balanced and wanting to keep the peace rather than firing off. You can think of this as a journey through your houses touching on each aspect of your life, creating shifts and enhancing our vibrations for our good that may not feel like it at the time.

The Full Moon in Pisces is Mystical & Magical

The full Moon in Pisces is one of the more mystical and magical Full Moons of the year! Pisces being a water sign, and the last zodiac of the wheel - Pisces has gained all the wisdom that comes before her and thus one of the most intuitive signs and one of the most dreamy signs. Pisces is all about intuition, femininity, and transcendence to the Moon. Pisces is represented by two fish connecting both the dream world and the earthly realm and swimming between both to understand life, reminding us we are all connected and not shying away from wanting to learn and understand more about life and all that it contains beyond the seeing eyes. Pisces connects and often resonates with water that flows within us affected by the Moon cycles just like the oceans…we ebb and flow.

With this travelling through this Blue Moon, we have the power and gift to become more conscious of how we experience the world, and what it has to offer, and have compassion for other's views and experiences that are different to ours.

Blue Moon Means Two Full Moons In One Calendar Month!

As this is the second Full Moon of the month, expect themes that came up earlier this month to resurface to be released but we will also be in the final days of Venus Retrograde so your connection to and about money, self-worth, and relationships are interlinked and expect this to come to a full circle.

Two Full Moons in one calendar month can create a huge release of stagnant energy - things or something may exit our life e.g. job, relationship, and beliefs that you have been holding onto that are time to go (bye Felicia).

Whatever is up for being released under this special Blue Moon, we will feel the change whether it’s comfortable or not trust the existing will be replaced with something new to enter our lives. Creating space for something new to fill our lives.

7 Planets in Retrograde - Blame it on them!

As a side note…we also have serval planets Retrograding - Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto which mixed with a rare Blue Moon and Super Moon this is an extra potent time for us to tap into release.

Remember Retrograde energy tends to get us looking back over the past, creating time for reflection, rather than moving ahead. Strong retrograde energy can create delays, miscommunications, mishaps, and make us feel a little uncertain like we are not moving forward in life.

Saturn, which is also in retrograde in Pisces, is very active and enhanced with the Pisces Full Moon. Saturn first went retrograde back in June, so issues from this time may also find a way to creep back around under the Blue Moon. Saturn is here to help and teach us to understand our lessons and acceptance, taking accountability for our lives.

Create A Safe Space To Retreat

As this energy at the moment is potent, intuitive and spiritually driven remember to create a sacred space to retreat from over the coming days - a sanctuary to relax and unwind at the end of your day and/ or prepare you for the day ahead.

Remember to stay grounded and connect back to your breath whenever you need to, following your breath in and out and paying attention to the body and how it responds to calming and relaxing down the nerves.

To honour this Pisces Full Moon:

● Charge your crystals outside or on the window seal with the intention

● Create Moon water on the window seal or outside (just make sure it’s covered)

● Meditate and journal about what is coming up for you to be released

● Set intentions on what you wish to release by writing them down and calling in your Spirit team to support you burn in a flame and give back to Gaia

● Reflect on how far you have come over the past six months (when the New Moon was in Pisces) and also where you were last Blue Moon (August 22nd, 2021)

● Practice gratitude

● A nice soothing and comforting bath with your favourite essential oils and salts

● Connect to your creative side and Spiritual side - have fun with this and be open
