Dear beautiful reader,

Today – Tuesday the 23rd – La Luna will shine bright in this month's Scorpio Full Moon also known as a pink moon with it’s name coming from the time of year when there were lots of beautiful pink flowers coming to life around this Full Moon according to Native Americans.

This Scorpio Full Moon is the first Full Moon post the March lunar eclipse and in the last few days of Mercury Retrograde.

Scorpio rules our most secretive inner worlds, we may be up for a mysterious and purging of our emotions.

A Full Moon happens once a month (sometimes twice) and can be used as a comic gift, a reset, if you will supporting you to check in with yourself. Checking in with any thing you would like to let go off, to support you in any new habits you would like to develop.

With new beginnings the energy of change in the air this is the time to honour these callings as she moves towards her fullness supporting the seeds you wish to grow.

As we are human beings and created with 70% water, it is only normal for us to feel the effects of the Moon closely, just like the tides. We are all so unique and different that a Moon cycle will affect us differently along with our cycles.

In ancient times, the Moon was observed to change over a 29-day period that coincided with a woman's reproductive cycle. The ancients observed how the Moon affected the tides and by tracking it alongside the sun, they developed calendars to predict agricultural rhythms. The Sun was the life-giving force, but the Moon played an important role in predicting rainfall. In this way, the moon inspired culture for the ancients, when hunter and gatherers established civilisations centred on planting and harvesting.

By connecting back to our ancient ways of being and living closer to the rhythms of nature we can connect better to ourselves.

The Moon Rules the Subconscious

Welcome what s hidden.

In astrology, the Moon is associated with the subconscious and our instinctive, unconscious behaviour. Its cycles can be used to blend both the tangible and intangible. Working with lunar cycles allows us to intentionally engage our feeling nature, and how it unconsciously helps us with the law of attraction. Just like dreams, what cannot be accomplished during the day can be given over to our larger bodies while we sleep and rest in the evenings.

Sex, Power & Desire

We have entered the earthly, grounded, and dependable Taurus season that is bringing our awareness to finances, possessions, and our career. It's the opposite sign of Scorpio which represents sex, power, and desire. Now these Scorpio elements are magnified during the energy of a Full Moon and this may lead us to be in a push/pull gravitational pull between these elements. They are closely related and work together in similar energies.

Sex, money, and power are one of the same coin in terms of energy and where one area is blocked this can spill over to other areas. These elements are also closely related to creativity and perhaps you are finding yourself at a loss of how to navigate these waters and emotions flowing through you. To help you could indulge in your creativity in the way you are viewing the matters that are coming up for you.

Scorpio represents our shadow sides - our death and rebirth cycle thanks to its ruler Pluto. With this we may find ourselves facing our shadow side and feeling extremely uncomfortable with what is coming up. This is where bringing in a little creativity could help as well as holding space and feeling these emotions that are bubbling to the surface.

 Where are you holding control?

Are you perhaps holding onto control a little too much? How can you allow yourself to let go of control and practice surrendering? Are old patterns and thoughts clinging to truly serving you or hindering you? These are a few questions to bring awareness too…

Think about the universe supporting you…have the cosmos ever truly let you down or has it been a redirection? You may have been pushed up against a wall and felt extremely uncomfortable and not sure how you were going to manage situations but you always have and have come out on top after dusting yourself off. This is the power of the death and rebirth of Scorpio, rising through the ashes like a phoenix advancing to another level of understanding and consciousness within. Allowing you to gain wisdom and deeper levels of trust within yourself and how the universe works – think of The Hierophant in the tarot spreading Spiritual guidance and wisdom to those seeking it.

What Truths Lie Dormant?

Furthermore, as we are on the tail end of Eclipse season, note that there could be more information or truths coming to light that have been dormant. This could help you in making your decisions and remember this is a time of fated endings and new beginnings. Look back six months ago to where you were and what seeds had you planted with the Scorpio New Moon? Are they in check? They say not to make big decisions during Mercury Retrograde but as this celestial event has linked up with eclipse season it is pushing you forward of where you need to go.

With every sign there are both light and darker aspects and with Scorpio the darker aspects can be that of manipulation, fear, and addictions. Think about these elements and how they are currently showing up for you at this present moment. Knowing this side of Scorpio and partnering with Taurus season we can flip this to acknowledge these aspects and harness this energy to create new patterns and habits that are for healthier and for our highest good.

Clearing out the old and bringing in the new!

Some ways to work with this Scorpio Full Moon:

● Ground yourself - a gentle grounding meditation visualising your roots anchoring you in the belly of Mother Earth for support

● Literally going to the park/ nature and putting your feet on the ground with the intention to ground, inviting Gaia to support and ground you…you can even lay down

● Journaling whatever is coming up for you

●  A soothing bath, shower with your favourite essential oils

●  Walking and connecting to water by the beach, lakes, rivers - whatever you have close by or feel called to do

● Meditation to quieten the mind, body, and soul to bring you back to your centre and soothe yourself

● If you need time to yourself - do it and honour your needs and desires…put yourself first perhaps for once

● Charging your crystal under the Full Moon sky outside or on the window ledge

● Make Moon water with an intention or affirmation by leaving a covered glass or jar outside or by the window ledge to charge

Sending you many Full Moon blessings.

Much love and gratitude,

xx Assunta
