Scorpio New Moon
Scorpios are not afraid of the darkness, in fact they embrace it and are able to connect to this truth head on without fear or judgement, as they know there is no escaping it.

Dear beautiful reader,
Tomorrow, Friday 1st of November we welcome in our Scorpio New Moon at 12:47 pm BST, on Angel number day 1/11! Reminding us we are always protected and guided by loved ones and our Spirit team and a time to work with our ancestors giving them thanks and gratitude to what path they have created for you.
A New Moon happens once a month and can be used as a comic gift, a reset if you will, aiding you to check in with yourself. Checking in with any intentions you would like to grow in relation to your goals and dreams, or perhaps any new habits you would like to develop this is the time to honour these callings as she moves towards her fullness so do the seeds you wish to grow.
As we are human beings and created with 70% water, it is only normal for us to feel the effects of the Moon closely, just like the tides. We are all so unique and different that a Moon cycle will affect us differently along with our cycles. As the New Moon is the dark side of the Moon, it is common to feel a little more introspective, wanting to retreat, be at home in your comfies, and watch TV or perhaps read and meditate. But once the New Moon grows into her full brightness so does our energy and feelings and wanting to be more out in the public space. So allowing yourself the time and honour needs is perfectly okay, often this is frowned upon in a fast-paced life but connecting back to our natural rhythms is so important.
In ancient times, the Moon was observed to change over a 28 -29 day period that coincided with a woman's reproductive cycle. The ancients observed how the moon affected the tides and by tracking it alongside the sun, they developed calendars to predict agricultural rhythms. The Sun was the life-giving force, but the Moon played an important role in predicting rainfall. In this way, the moon inspired culture for the ancients, when hunter and gatherers established civilisations centred on planting and harvesting.
By connecting back to our ancient ways of being and living closer to the rhythms of nature we can connect better to ourselves.
In astrology, the Moon is associated with the subconscious and our instinctive, unconscious behaviour. Its cycles can be used to blend both the tangible and intangible. Working with lunar cycles allows us to intentionally engage our feeling nature, and how it unconsciously helps us with the law of attraction. Just like dreams, what cannot be accomplished during the day can be given over to our larger bodies while we sleep and rest in the evenings.
What does the Scorpio New Moon mean for you…
Our mysterious and mystical Scorpio New Moon helps us connect to our inner depths and the deep waters that flow within us. When we think of Scorpio we perhaps words such as dark, intuitive, mysterious, sexy, emotional, and perhaps secretive come up to describe this zodiac sign. So when we have the New Moon in Scorpio we have a potent energy to work with to connect to our darker aspects or the side of ourselves we keep hidden and not face rather than embracing them to bring them to the light.
As Scorpio is ruled by both Pluto and Mars, this dynamic brings up the more challenging aspects of ourselves that we often push down. When we try to push these uncomfortable hidden truths down, or uncomfortable emotions we eventually see that they catch up with us one way or another (think Blondie - One Way or Another).
This Scorpio New Moon rather than pushing down or fearing this part of ourselves we are embracing them and embracing all of ourselves, not caring what others think and what they might say…we are learning to embrace our true power and allow ourselves to be misunderstood and at the end of the day cannot control what people will say about us.
Scorpios are not afraid of the darkness, in fact they embrace it and are able to connect to this truth head on without fear or judgement, as they know there is no escaping it. They know that this darkness is going to present itself one way or another and instead of pushing down and hiding from it, it’s time to embrace and stop the self-sabotaging energy creeping in.
It is facing these revelations that we are able to transform ourselves, evolve and grow to help create more solid and grounding foundations for our futures, this is what we call the shadow work.
If you, like myself, find the whole concept of shadow work confusing and don’t really know where to begin with. Simply sit and honour what is currently coming up for you at the moment, what thoughts and feelings are coming up? Perhaps what situations or themes have occurred over the past few days leading up to this New Moon? Have these themes shown up before? When we have feelings of anxiety, anger, frustration if you sit with it, it is often a catalyst to what needs to be done and lying underneath in the depths of your subconscious and all that anger and frustration is propelling you forward in motivation and courage.
When we sit and simply honour this process without judgement we are giving light to these hidden truths and allowing it to be seen and heard. Be gentle and kind to yourself, remember that going within creates an inner calmness amongst a potentially chaotic outerworld.
There is no need to change who you are, just honour the parts of yourself that need more love and attention.
This is a reminder that our inner worlds, our subconscious is running the show so when we are triggered what is underneath this reaction? Are these the old patterns that you need to let go of, to evolve?
We also have Saturn quite active as last couple of weeks of his retrograde before stationing direct, so this cosmic gift is dotting the “I’s” and crossing those “T’s” on the final lessons before shifting gift…this would be a time to also tie up any loose ends when it comes to discipline and structure.
Ways to work the Scorpio New Moon…
This is a time for you to find some stillness in yourself, remember you have the days leading up to and after the New Moon to work with the energy, so there is no need to rush. When you have some quiet time I have provided a few ideas you can have fun with and create your own ritual.
● Invite yourself to understand your wounds that are coming up, shadow work by journaling: Ask yourself are you staying present? What patterns subconsciously are causing my reactions to certain situations? How can I embody myself fully?
● A soothing bath or shower with your favourite oils, salts, shower gels to sooth your body
● Scream into a pillow if you are feeling angry or frustrated and not sure what to say and to whom
● Set intentions to bring into life - this what New Moon energy is about..co creating with the universe
● Dance to move the energy up and out of the body helping to remove the excess energy
● Say a prayer and gratitude to the Luna Goddess Selene - perhaps a light a candle for her
● Light a candle for your ancestors as the 1st of November marks All Soul’s day
● Spend time in meditation to connect to your spirit team giving them thanks and clear on what you need now for support
● Create some Moon water with an intention to infuse into the water and charge your crystals alongside
Embrace this Scorpio New Moon and be gentle on yourself and others as we are all in this together and collectively. Remember you are never alone, you have your Spirit team around you and supporting you…just simply call them in to support you!
Much love and gratitude,
