The Power of Now in Meditation
Once you start meditating every day, you find that you live in the present moment more effortlessly, because your nervous system becomes a ‘chill out’ system. In the calm you start to notice all the the precious little things in life that usually go unnnoticed.

Meditation is like an internal shower of Source energy that washes the egoic mind away, so that you are present. It de-excites your nervous system and dissolves all the layers of stress we have built up inside of us, from our fast-paced lifestyles, from past trauma, from past lives.
Fears are transmuted with the light of our consciousness, as we become observant of our minds, and the mind-habits we have formed. The repetitive thought streams we habitually cling to fall away, so that when we are not meditating, we find it easier to let go of thoughts that do not serve us. We become responsive rather than reactive. Meditation is the way out of the worry/anxiety mind habit.
Once you start meditating every day, you find that you live in the present moment more effortlessly, because your nervous system becomes a ‘chill out’ system. In the calm you start to notice all the the precious little things in life that usually go unnnoticed - the things a child might notice and wonder at, like the iridescence of a dragonfly in the sun, or how a prism of glass creates a rainbow on the wall. You start to savour the deliciousness of each moment, something you could never do before you started meditating because your nervous system was humming with stress and noise.
One of the best things about meditation it gives you the power of now. All fear, anxiety and worry come from thoughts about the future fall away. All regrets, sorrow, guilt and resentment from the past become irrelevant. When you are in the Now, negative feelings don’t get airtime. Meditation helps you stay in the Now and get back to your true essence, the knower behind the thinker, the Source that emanates from all things. I don’t call it ‘finding God’ because how can you find something that you never lost? You’re simply remembering, realising and awakening to who you truly are.
